Teresa Viana (http://teresaviana.com.br/) comes from a generation of Brazilian painters who emerged after the end of the dictatorship during the late 1980s. Viana studied in Rio de Janeiro at the Escola de Artes Visuais do Parque Lage and moved to São Paulo in 1992. In 2001, she was awarded a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant. She has spent more than twenty years creating large-scale works mainly with the technique of encaustic and oil painting on canvas, always exploring the boundaries of abstraction and figurative art.
Veronika Hilger (http://veronika-hilger.com/) was born in Prien am Chimsee in 1981. She studied at the Universität Augsburg and at the Akademie der Bildendedn Künste München. She has received prizes from the Erwin and Gisela Steiner Stiftung and an Atelierstipunden from the city of München. She lives and works in München and near the city of Rosenheim. Hilger has shown her work at the Akademie der Bildendedn Künste München, in Toulouse and at the kd3g Projektraum in München.
